Honors Fund is thrilled to announce our recent investment in SAFA.

SAFA has captured our attention for its game-changing approach in the world of complex systems innovation, where software development often grapples with inefficiencies and challenges. Software engineering is the backbone of modern corporations, but navigating evolving systems, managing resources, and maintaining complete traceability can be a daunting task.

Enter SAFA. By employing generative AI, SAFA automates document creation, review, and maintenance, effectively reducing costs by up to 50% and freeing up valuable time for developers to focus on strategic endeavors. The key to SAFA’s brilliance is its ability to predict document relationships and understand the impact of changes, empowering engineering teams with valuable insights. Some of the use cases supported by SAFA include linking general and software documentation, and facilitating documentation searching. Engineers can now effortlessly import and establish relationships between various forms of documentation, identify disconnected data sources, and efficiently query project data with AI search prompts.

Looking towards the future, SAFA’s vision includes enhancing document relationship graphing, displaying only relevant documents for specific tasks, and enabling automatic generation of various forms of documentation based on existing content. The platform will also recommend missing documentation and generate multi-level document abstraction from source code.

SAFA’s potential extends beyond industry boundaries, presenting a broad and versatile market opportunity. With pilot programs already underway with diverse partners, SAFA’s cross-industry potential is already taking shape.

Aarik Gulaya, CEO and Co-Founder, is a recent graduate from Notre Dame’s business school. He leads the talented team behind SAFA. CPO and Co-Founder Tim Newman’s strategic mindset and dedication to meaningful solutions complement the technical prowess of CTIO Kat Dearstyne, a computer science PhD student. CTO Alberto Rodriguez, a skilled full-stack software engineer, completes the lineup. Together, this exceptional team’s passion and expertise drive SAFA’s groundbreaking achievements in software engineering.

This investment marks a new era for CEAS Investments, supporting university-affiliated startups that redefine sectors and create lasting impacts. As SAFA continues its growth and innovation, we eagerly anticipate the positive impact it will have on the industry, setting new standards for efficiency and collaboration in complex systems innovation. SAFA’s commitment to efficiency, traceability, and automation promises to revolutionize the software development landscape, ushering in an era of streamlined, collaborative, and successful projects.
